Elle a d\u00e9crit devant la cour d\u2019assises de Paris les m\u00e9thodes des gendarmes, qui attaquaient les collines o\u00f9 les Tutsi s\u2019\u00e9taient r\u00e9fugi\u00e9s, avant de laisser la population achever le \u00ab travail \u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Monsieur Fran\u00e7ois Graner, chercheur en physique et t\u00e9moin cit\u00e9 \u00e0 la demande de l\u2019association SURVIE, a \u00e9galement \u00e9voqu\u00e9 le r\u00f4le de la gendarmerie. Cette force, proche de l\u2019arm\u00e9e, pouvait \u00eatre mobilis\u00e9e pour combattre. Manier, l\u2019accus\u00e9, adjudant-chef \u00e0 la brigade de Nyanza, a admis avoir \u00e9t\u00e9 envoy\u00e9 \u00e0 Ruhengeri pour combattre le FPR (Front Patriotique Rwandais).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Des \u00e9claircissements sur le r\u00f4le de la gendarmerie<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Interrog\u00e9 par une jur\u00e9e sur le r\u00f4le de la gendarmerie rwandaise dans le g\u00e9nocide, Fran\u00e7ois Graner a expliqu\u00e9 : \u00ab En r\u00e9alit\u00e9, les gendarmes ont souvent vol\u00e9 au secours des miliciens qui n\u2019arrivaient pas \u00e0 tuer les Tutsi, souvent r\u00e9fugi\u00e9s au sommet des collines. Ils sont intervenus massivement avec leurs armes, parfois des mortiers, pour commencer le \u2018travail\u2019. Les miliciens achevaient ensuite les bless\u00e9s avec leurs armes traditionnelles. Quant \u00e0 l\u2019Op\u00e9ration Turquoise, elle avait pour objectif de mettre fin aux massacres, mais elle a \u00e9galement servi \u00e0 r\u00e9armer les gendarmes rwandais. \u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Le parcours de Philippe Manier Hategekimana<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Philippe Manier Hategekimana, jug\u00e9 par la cour d\u2019assises de Paris, est n\u00e9 \u00e0 Ntyazo.
